Experience
As an undergraduate, I was a teaching assistant and a public and private tutor for 3 years. During this time, I focused on aiding students in the sciences to meet their academic goals, specifically I tutored various kinds of chemistry: bio, organic, and general. Other topics I tutored were algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, biology, and physics. I tutored exclusively college students but am interested in working with anyone above the age of 16. Age, education, and personal & social background all influence a person and their learning style. Because each individual has a unique background, this warrants an individualized approach by me, thus no student will ever get the same tutoring service from me. Notably, I won my school's tutoring award, "Tutor of Excellence". What draws me to being a tutor is being able to collaboratively solve textbook problems with students and help students meet their academic goals.
